What ingredients do you use?

Our ingredients are 100 % Australian and 99% Tasmanian. We only use Joe White Maltings Tasmanian Malted Barley.

Does your malt vinegar have live bacteria?

Yes, our vinegar includes live bacteria, called Acetobacter, which thrives in oxygen-rich environments, and if the bottle is left open for an extended period, a vinegar mother may form.

This vinegar mother can be used to start a new batch of vinegar. If you’re interested to try making your own look under our products page.

 

Can I use your vinegar for pickling?

Absolutely! Our malt vinegar, when bottled, has an acidity of 5%, making it ideal for pickling or creating delicious chutneys and relishes.

Feel free to add our vinegar to your favourite recipes and discover the difference it can make!

How long does your vinegar last?

Our malt vinegar is a natural product with an indefinite shelf life; it doesn’t require a ‘best before’ date. However, the acidity will drop over time.

Vinegar has been enjoyed for over 5,000 years, and much like whiskey, its flavour can continue to evolve and improve over time.

Is your vinegar gluten-free?

Our malt vinegar is made from malted barley.

We asked Symbio Laboratories to test the gluten count.

Is your vinegar FODMAP free?

Malt Vinegar contains No FODMAPs according to Monash University and their FODMAP lab tests.  FODMAP everyday
